First Evening:
Classroom (7:30pm – 9:30pm), Pool (10:00pm – 11:50pm)
Student should bring manual with completed study guide answer sheet, bathing suit, towel, mask, snorkel, boots, socks, fins & weight belt, and padlock for the pool's locker-room.
Optional; bring gloves, wetsuit, scuba and personal underwater camera.
Cameras and scuba including air tank will be supplied as needed.
The course manual and study questions will be reviewed, camera equipment will be examined, and photo assignments for the pool session will be assigned and explained.
Second Evening:
Classroom (7:30pm – 10:30pm)
Student should bring photographs taken during prior pool session. Photos may be in print, transparency and/or digital format.
A review of the course manual will be completed during this session followed by an analysis/evaluation of the students’ photos and a discussion of the open water photo assignments.
Open Water Diving:
Unsupervised
Student should complete pre-assigned photographs during a minimum of two unsupervised open water dives.
Additional open water dives are permitted as needed to complete the photo assignments. These dives can be on the same day or on different days. They can be at the same open water location or at different locations.
All assigned photos must be logged as instructed, and they must be displayed during the third classroom session.
Student must supply all personal diving and photo equipment for their open water dives. Most items, including cameras and accessories are available for rental when reserved in advance.
Third Evening:
Classroom (7:30pm - 10:30pm)
Student should bring photographs taken during the open water dives. Photos may be in print, transparency and/or digital format.
All photographs will be discussed, evaluated and judged by each class member.Class members will select one photograph judged on technique, composition and artistic qualities to receive the “Best of Course” award.
